Plug-in Collective Mastering The Mix

March/April's Plug-in Collective community giveaway is a storming double-header from UK mixing and mastering engineer Tom Frampton's Mastering The Mix development house. From 12th March to 7th May, Plug-in Collective members can download the full IGNITE distortion plug-in and a six-month unrestricted trial version of the BASSROOM mastering EQ for free.

One of four powerful modules from Mastering The Mix's acclaimed ANIMATE multi-purpose mixing plug-in, IGNITE is a dynamic harmonic distortion effect that brings level- and frequency-responsive grit, textural character and stereo enhancement to any instrumental or vocal source. The beautiful but intuitive interface enables targeting of specific frequencies for distortion, adjustment of the input signal threshold level above which is's applied, and shaping of the two-stage response envelope. A choice of stereo processing options set iGNITE to work on the left/right, mid or side signals, too, for perceived widening and tightening treatments.
