Sipho Dlamini appointed MD of Universal Music SA and Sub-Saharan Africa --

After three years as the CEO of the South African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO), Sipho Dlamini is leaving the nationwide non-profit group to take over from Randall Abrahams as the managing director of Universal Music SA and Sub- Saharan Africa. Abrahams stated he would be leaving Universal Music to pursue other business opportunities and creative prospects within the media and music industries.
According to a report by Pulse Radio, interim CEO and SAMRO board chairman Reverend Abe Sibiya says Dlamini made positive changes as a leader at SAMRO: His hunger to win, strategic focus and keen interest in innovation, as well as the importance of building strong relationships, has been part of the mix in him leading SAMRO to various breakthroughs during his tenure.

I m honoured and humbled to lead the world s premier music company on our continent at this exciting time for Africa in the music business. I am looking forward to working with a great team and continuing to build on the current success of the company and our artists.
