Grass Valley and NVP Deploy Camera Systems for LALIGA Broadcast Production

Grass Valley has announced the completion of a live production deployment with NVP, a European media company specializing in live sports production, for LALIGA broadcasts. The project was delivered with systems integration partner Video Progetti S.r.l.

The deployment supports production of more than 760 matches per season across LALIGA EA Sports (first division) and LALIGA HYPERMOTION (second division). It includes 144 Grass Valley cameras across 15 OB trucks - seven high-end trucks for first-division matches using LDX 135 and LDX 150 systems, and eight trucks for second-division remote production.

All cameras deliver native 4K UHD images. The LDX 150 systems provide native 4K UHD high-speed capture. The solution supports simultaneous UHD HDR and HD SDR production. Camera systems combine SDI and NativeIP connectivity, with JPEGXS from the camera head available for remote production scenarios. Licensing is structured to allow NVP to add capabilities such as super slow motion on demand.

The deployment was completed within a short timeframe ahead of the season's start, following LALIGA's decision to award NVP production of both divisions.
