Owing to the CARDINAL DVM-HDBT extender systems from SOMMER CABLE, customers don't need to accept any compromises regarding image and audio quality. With our flexible signal management and extender systems of the CARDINAL DVM series customers will benefit from a stable HDMI signal transmission over max. distances of 100 metres. Uncompressed contents can therefore be distributed using only a single cable. And this with just a regular network cable , as Peter Rieck, key account & distribution manager at SOMMER CABLE, points out.
The newly launched latest generation of CARDINAL DVM devices can handle a HighSpeed HDMI with Ethernet signal which supports the current 4Kx2K, 1080p, 3D, ARC, HDCP, 7.1CH, Home-Cinema-TrueHD as well as DTS-HD standards, thus safeguarding a long-term future and investment security for the users. The systems also carry a 100 BaseT network signal (100 m version), bi-directional RS232 and infrared communication for display and beamer control and also the power supply for the transmitter or receiver (the voltage may be applied on either side).
The two new CARDINAL DVM-HDBT-MAT44 and DVM-HDBT-MAT88 matrices provide an efficient signal management of four or eight HDMI source signals and their distribution to HDMI or HDBaseT outputs. The absolute highlight of these devices is the extreme short switching time of maximum 200ns as well as the complete support of 4Kx2K signals. Hereby the matrix can be controlled either by local operation, via IP or RS232. The RS232 & infrared as well as the audio signals of each HDBaseT output are provided as local interfaces. In addition, the matrix also handles the voltage supply for the HDBaseT receivers.
The CARDINAL DVM systems are commercially available as of now. Optionally customers will receive a ready-made installation cable kit which contains a single-sided ready-made CAT.7 installation line (1,000 MHz) with one open end. The cable may be cut to length individually and comes with a tool-free mountable RJ45 metal connector for the open end.
