Inclusion in control-room revamp proves pivotal to supporting this tentpole event
The in-venue show of a Super Bowl has become an annual Avengers-esque endeavor where the best from around the sports-video-production business descend on the host stadium. One of these team members is Ross Video, who's assisting with the content being displayed on Levi's Stadium's numerous LED surfaces as well as many other production solutions inside the newly renovated control room.
This is our 10th Super Bowl in a row, so we're able to learn a lot every year, says Andrew Lahey, senior manager, solution services & project management, Sports & Entertainment, Ross Video. There's always going to be changes and adjustments, but being able to work with Van Wagner allows us to have consistency and the ability to know what to expect.

Ross Video's Andrew Lahey, Stefan Tribble, and Aungelina Taglia getting ready for Sunday's game.The wide breadth of solutions offered by Ross Video have become staples within in-venue production control rooms across the industry, but in Santa, Clara, CA, the company has ingrained in the foundation of the San Francisco 49ers' new control room. Prior to the space's debut in August 2025, both parties held conversations on what could be done to improve the game presentation of all 49ers home games and the long list of world-class events to be played at Levi's Stadium. Headlined by two Acuity production switchers, XPression that create the basis of their insert graphics, and XPression Tessera for streamlined LED control, Ross Video was starting their Super Bowl prep in an advantageous position.
We were able to work with Diversified in the control room and ANC for the videoboard and content management system, so being part of the revamp definitely helped, says Lahey. Once the NFL season was over, the 49ers and Levi's Stadium staff were super integral in giving us access to the system. We had so much prep time that we were showing content on the first day everyone got here.
Ross Video's Andrew Sampson preps player graphics for the videoboard show.This control room project also allowed Ross Video to get comfortable with the large LED real estate that this show will leverage on Sunday's title game. Equipped with the NFL's largest 4K HDR-capable videoboards, the production team can get a bit aggressive with what they want to show from a graphics perspective. Most notably, the ribbons and main videoboard are acting as one group tied together rather than two distinct displays with respective systems.
We're able to take content that's native resolution or slightly adjust it and get it on the videoboard in a fairly quick amount of time, continues Lahey. It's been easy for us to get everything out there and organize it all as we need.
A Little Bit More: Onsite Team Travels With Extra Workflows
Similar to other Super Bowls, the massive size of this show requires the addition of a handful of essential workflows. From Ross Video's perspective, this meant stacking this already high-quality control room with even more tools to either power the necessary additives implemented by the NFL or contingencies that back up the primary production plan. This includes a Ross XPression Tessera S&E flypacks - which is outfitted with nine XPressions, an Ultrix FR5, and a Carbonite Mosaic - that accompanies Ross Video's Sports & Entertainment team. Super Bowl LIX used two of these specialized kits in New Orleans' Caesars Superdome and three were used at the 2025 NFL Draft outside of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.
The Ultix FR5s that are part of the Ross XPression Tessera S&E flypack. This stadium's built really well and has all of the gear that they need to feed all of these LEDs, but we always add additional things, adds Lahey. We didn't need much, but it's easier to just send the entire kit onsite.
Along with Levi's Stadium's standard XPression package, Ross Video brought additional XPressions machines to supplement the show.This additional equipment is handling many of the on-field activations during pregame. For example, the LED signage used for team introductions are running off of this dedicated flypack. In addition, backdrops for news hits for programs like The Today Show are being powered by the flypack to take additional stress off of the control room's infrastructure.
A Piece to the Bigger Puzzle: Ross Video Plays Significant Role in Van Wagner's Production
Ross Video's Sports & Entertainment team onsite at the stadium.One of the most impressive aspects of this in-venue show is that these separate entities work together to create a unified production team. Tapping the services and solutions of Ross Video, the crew at Van Wagner is in the driver seat of this large-scale gameday show. From Ross Video's side, the onsite Sports & Entertainment team that's working in tandem with Van Wagner include Senior Manager, Technical Solutions & Field Services, Andrew Sampson; Manager, Content & Workflow, Drew Shealy; Team Leads, Project Management, Amber Barnett and Stefan Tribble; and Project Manager Aungelina Taglia. Taglia, in particular, served as the project manager for the 49ers' refreshed control room, so having her expertise onsite for a game like this is paramount to success. This team has helped achieve the desired look of Van Wagner's Creative Director Aaron Fletcher and the game presentation department of the NFL.
