Outstanding environmental storytelling by a UK broadcaster will again be recognised by the Press Association at tve's 2018 film awards. The winner of the Press Association Award for Environmental Storytelling will be announced at the tveGlobal Sustainability Film Awards together with Fastflow Group on stage at BAFTA in central London on Monday 26 November.
This year's Awards are the 7th organised by the media charity tve. Companies globally are invited to enter their own films about how they are addressing the Sustainable Development Goals.
What we are doing to our environment, efforts to clean up our oceans, loss of species, sustainable solutions to climate change - these are all big stories that journalists and reporters are covering. We want to recognise those UK broadcasters who are putting resources into telling these big stories and doing so in inspiring and highly engaging ways,''says Tony Watson, managing director of PA, the UK's leading provider of multimedia content and services.
Last year's winner of the PA award, a nominated category, was Sky News' powerful and shocking documentary A Plastic Whale .
There are five competitive categories, with an entry deadline of 12 October. Submit your company's film into one of the following competitive categories now athttp://gsfa.tve.org/how-to-enter/:

The film competition recognises companies and institutions whose films most powerfully portray solutions for sustainability. This year's president is Claudine Blamey, group head of corporate responsibility and sustainability at Sainsbury's. For the third year running we are focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which set ambitious targets for world development: eradicating poverty and hunger; ensuring good health, quality education and gender equality; and setting targets for affordable and clean energy, climate action and responsible consumption and production. gsfa.tve.org
