Orlando Magic and Harris Corporation to Host First Responders Night on Saturday

Celebration to include a special pregame reception for Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches residents and Concerns of Police Survivors group

The Orlando Magic and Harris Corporation will honor emergency medical personnel, firefighters, police officers, sheriff's deputies and corrections officers during First Responder Night on Saturday, March 24, when the Magic take on the Phoenix Suns.

In its fifth year, First Responder Night is a way for the Magic and Harris to thank those who keep communities safe and secure. Participating first responders receive tickets to the game and will be celebrated throughout the evening. The event also will include a special pregame reception for residents of the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches and members of the C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) organization.

Halftime will feature an exhibition by the finalists of the Guns n' Hoses basketball tournament, an event that takes place earlier in the day and pit teams from area first-responder agencies against one another. Harris will donate $5,000 and $2,500, respectively, to the first and second-place teams to award to the charities of their choice.

In addition, the Harris Hometown Hero will be recognized prior to Saturday's tip-off. The Harris Hometown Hero program recognizes a Central Florida first responder or member of the military prior to each home Magic game (emergency medical, fire, police and military). The Hometown Hero first responder receives four Ultimate Seats with access to Fields Ultimate Lounge and is recognized at center court before tipoff.
