The Voice UK Live Finals return to Elstree

20 March 2015: BBC Studios and Post Production is providing full production gallery facilities for Live Finals of The Voice UK at Elstree. Back for a second year at Elstree Studios' George Lucas Stage, the production is once again making full use of the company's purpose-built HD galleries.

With direct access onto the George Lucas Stage, BBC Studios and Post Production's Sound, Lighting and Production galleries are equipped with the latest HD technology to handle the demands of a complex, fast-turnaround television production such as The Voice UK. Last month, the sound gallery underwent a significant upgrade and now features a high powered Studer Vista X, which made its debut recently on The People's Strictly for Comic Relief.

The 14 camera set-up for the show features a Moviebird crane, Jib and Radio Steadicam. It complements a versatile lighting setup, which combines moving lights, and LED lamps. In addition there is a wealth of LED display panels built into the set.

This year's series sees a rejuvenated line-up of superstar coaches. Pop royalty, Rita Ora joins music legend, Sir Tom Jones; global entertainer and producer, will.i.am; and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson. The successful fourth series is in full swing and has seen the exciting blind auditions, battle and knockout rounds whittle it down to 12 finalists who will sing live in front of the nation to win the most public votes and a place in the live semi-final, at Elstree.

Produced for the BBC by Wall to Wall and Talpa Media, the first Live Quarter Final will air on BBC One on Saturday 21 March.
