Deity Microphones Brings PR 2ii, TC-2, and D4RX to IBC2026

The Deity PR-2ii arrives with production firmware as Deity gives the TC-2 and four-channel THEOS D4RX their first public viewing

Deity Microphones will present three major additions to its production audio and timecode ecosystem at IBC 2026, taking place September 11-14 at RAI Amsterdam. Attendees will be able to see the PR-2ii running production firmware featuring many new features and get the first public look at the new Deity TC-2 timecode generator and THEOS D4RX four-channel wireless slot receiver receiver.

The IBC demonstrations bring the products together as one connected workflow: dependable local recording on the PR-2ii, continuous wireless synchronization from the TC-2, and four channels of professional UHF reception through the D4RX. Deity will demonstrate how each product works on its own and as part of the wider Sidus Audio, timecode, and THEOS ecosystems.

Deity PR-2ii; Production Firmware The PR-2ii will be shown with production firmware, giving IBC visitors a hands-on look at the recorder's finished workflow. It delivers 5.4 dB lower self-noise than the original PR-2. And despite the PR-2ii's screen being +60% brighter than the original PR-2, it still can achieve more than 20 hours of battery life on two AA batteries. It also features the ability to receive continuous wireless timecode*, and remote control through Sidus Audio.

Designed for audio that cannot be recreated, the PR-2ii adds IP54 dust and splash resistance, PSRAM-backed audio file buffering protection, pre-recording, mark points metadata, and microSD card support up to 1 TB. At approximately 55 grams without batteries, it remains compact enough to wear on talent, plant in a scene, or mount to a small rig.

Deity TC-2; First Public Viewing The TC-2 builds on the compact form and straightforward operation of the TC-1 while expanding how productions distribute and manage timecode. Continuous Bluetooth timecode keeps other TC-2 units locked to the same reference point in real time, eliminating frame drift between units within wireless range. The TC-2 also became the first portable timecode box to introduce native 120 fps timecode based on SMPTE ST 12-3 and USB-C ATC timecode.

An RP-SMA antenna provides up to 70 meters of wireless timecode range. A larger AMOLED color display, protected by 6H-rated glass, improves visibility and durability. TC-1 cables and the hook-and-loop cold shoe mount remain compatible, while BitConnectify 1.0 support maintains wireless timecode single pulse sync with existing Deity products like the DBTX, TC-SL1, and PR-2.

The TC-2 takes everything people love about the TC-1 and elevates it. The size, simplicity, ergonomic controls and compatibility are still there, but continuous wireless timecode, USB-C TC, and the new display make it a much more capable tool for today's sets. It has been a lot of listening to the community to find the areas we needed to polish on the TC-1, and the team has worked incredibly hard to make the upgrade feel meaningful without leaving our current users behind.

THEOS D4RX; First Public Viewing The THEOS D4RX gives cinema production sound, broadcast, and TV teams four discrete channels in a compact true-diversity receiver. Its eight-radio architecture pairs with front-end SAW filtering, encrypted digital audio, and Global OneBand wideband tuning from 550 to 960 MHz. A swappable rear interface supports slot-based workflows and professional analog and AES3 output, helping crews move between sound bags and carts with fewer adapters and cable runs.

From the receiver, operators can remotely adjust frequency, gain, RF power, and the internal 32-bit float recorder on paired THEOS transmitters from more than 20 meters away. The D4RX also brings LiveHit DeNoiser noise reduction to any or all paired transmitter channels. The D4RX also achieves 300% faster RF scans than the D2RX, allowing you to set up your channels quicker than before.

The D4RX has been a long time coming, and reaching this first public showing has taken an enormous amount of hard work. Sound professionals asked for four channels, true diversity, professional outputs, slot compatibility, and wireless control. Their feedback helped shape the receiver people will see at IBC.
