Sony will exhibit at IBC2026 (Hall 13, September 11-14), demonstrating products across live production, news, cinema, and immersive and spatial content workflows.
At this year's IBC show, Sony's theme of Creativity Connected' will demonstrate how our technologies are the driving force behind the authentic and creative storytelling delivered by our customers, says Olivier Bovis, Head of Media Solutions Business, Sony Europe. As the demand for innovations to cope with the ever-transforming sector continues to grow Sony will present real-world examples for co-creating the future of entertainment with an ever-broader community of partners and creators.
Live Production
Sony will display its new R-series broadcast system cameras alongside the BRC-AM7 PTZ camera, which features version 3.1 firmware with improved Ball Sports (Basketball) tracking mode, and the SRG-AS10 PTZ auto-framing model. Nevion media processing software solutions MOXELA and VideoIPath will also be on show. The 4th-generation DWX series digital wireless audio system - DWT-B40 transmitter and DWR-R40Q receiver - makes its IBC debut, featuring 32-bit float internal recording backup.
News
Sony will feature an expanded range of data transmitters and demonstrate a news authenticity workflow jointly with Reuters. The PXW-Z300 and PXW-Z200 camcorders will be on display with updated software.
Cinema and Imaging
The Cinema Line FX5 camera, featuring a newly developed fully stacked CMOS sensor, makes its show debut alongside the RIALTO 65 image sensor block for VENICE 2, expanding the system to 65mm format. The DP7 and DP5 monitor controllers will also be shown. Sony's FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G lens is also on display, supporting stereoscopic imaging when paired with the VENICE Extension System Mini.
Immersive and Spatial Production
OCELLUS camera tracking V2.0 adds lens calibration and automatic offset measurement. The XYN Spatial Capture solution for converting real-world spaces into 3DCG assets will also be demonstrated alongside Crystal LED VERONA and CAPRI displays.
Sony will lead two sessions in the Showcase Theatre (Hall 3): A Software Revolution: The Future of Broadcast Workflows and The New Frontier: Redefining Multi-Camera Virtual Production.
