Vislink and TVU Networks to Launch Mobile Transmiion Solution at IBC04

TVU Networks and Vislink today announced the launch of a next-generation TVUPack with Vislink's integrated hybrid microwave IP technology. The jointly developed TVUPack is the world's first portable IP newsgathering solution capable of simultaneously aggregating microwave bandwidth with multiple cellular data connections to deliver unprecedented quality and reliability. The TVUPack is the first fully-integrated product to emerge from the partnership between TVU Networks and Vislink announced in April, and will be on display at IBC 2014 in the TVU Networks booth (2.B28) and on the Vislink stand (1.A69).

As a result of growing demand for highly resilient and portable equipment capable of meeting new standards for mobile cellular transmission, TVU and Vislink have developed a unique joint offering that integrates the TVUPack TM8200 with Vislink's hybrid microwave IP technology. Utilizing TVU's powerful Inverse StatMux IP transmission protocols, the TVUPack is able to combine multiple cellular data connections with Vislink's hybrid microwave IP technology to give broadcasters unrivalled flexibility, letting them transmit HD video simultaneously over cellular and microwave connections with sub-second latency. As a fully integrated IP newsgathering solution, the TVUPack combines best-of-breed cellular and IP microwave transmission technologies into a single mobile lightweight backpack.
