Arturia's new collection

New keyboards & 15 Plug-ins from the ...Youll Actually Use series collected as one release

The new KeyLab Essential 88, now shipping.

Earlier this year, Arturia unveiled two very different keyboards, the first of which is now shipping. The £309$349 KeyLab Essential 88 (shown above) is an 88-note controller with what Arturia call a hybrid synth piano feel' and plenty of real-time control options, including pitch and mod wheels, nine faders and rotary controllers, and eight assignable backlit performance pads for sample triggering. The £339$399 KeyStep Pro (below) is more of a combined multi-channel polyphonic performance sequencer and three-octave keyboard controller, featuring four polyphonic sequencer tracks, one of which can also function as a 16-part integrated drum sequencer. It should be shipping very soon.

Also recently announced and released is the software FX Collection (below). Arturia plug-in fans will recall the trios of handy plug in processors the company have been releasing over the past year: Three Filters You'll Actually Use, Three Reverbs You'll Actually Use, and so on. Now these collections have themselves been gathered into a single ber-collection of 15 plug ins, comprising all five trios of reverbs, delays, preamps, compressors and filters released so far. The FX Collection retails for $399 online, and is due to be reviewed in SOS very soon.
