Actor, Lawrence Maleka, who's bagged several awards for his role of Zolani on The River has taken a break from the show.

Maleka's character, Zolani exited the show last week after he was sentenced to prison for the murder of Zithulele Duze (Makhaola Ndebele).

WE WANT ZOLANI BACK' Though neither the channel nor the show has confirmed Maleka's official exit, fans of The River have threatened to stop watching the award-winning telenovela until he returns.
#TheRiver1Magic on Twitter has stated that Zolani is the main reason they're still watching the telenovela three seasons later.

1Magic shared an emotional goodbye scene between Maleka and the Dikanas last Thursday on Twitter.
Fans are also hoping that Sandra Stein (Shannon Esra) will get Zolani will assist Zolani out of prison as she's done so for the other Dikana characters.

MALEKA'S PLANS Maleka announced earlier this year (April) that he'll be presenting a brand new TV show, Too Hot to Be Single on SABC 1.

The SAFTA award-winning actor made his return to reality television four years later in April this year.
I am pleased to announce that I'll be joining @mzansi_fosho as the host of their brand new dating game show Too Hot To Be Single.
Tune in on Thursday, 8 April @21:00 on SABC 1 to find out if the Too Hot To Be Singles are able to find their perfect match, Maleka wrote.
It is unclear what he's currently busy with as the show ended in June.
