Sonifex are exhibiting at the AES Brazil for the first time on the British Audio Embassy booth on aisle 3/4/B/C.

Eamonn Heffernan, Sales Executive of Sonifex, said: This is our first time at AES Brazil and we are one of eight companies participating in a national booth for The British Audio Embassy, organised by APRS Ltd and UK Trade and Investment. We consider this a wonderful opportunity to showcase a number of our radio and TV studio products to the Brazilian market. We're showing a small selection of our products including the CM-CU21 Commentator Unit, a selection from our Redbox range of Audio & Video Interfaces, audio monitors, telephone hybrids and SignalLED studio LED signs."

The CM-CU21 is a portable commentator unit designed for use in sports-grounds and stadia which provides two fully featured commentator positions and a third guest location that can alternatively be used as a line-level input. Each of the commentator positions has an individual output, with two additional outputs providing a mix of all active commentary channels. A GPIO port gives an open-collector driven output indication of any active On-Air or talkback channel and four remote inputs provide an external call/alert to each of the talkback controls. An On-Air lock switch prevents the On-Air buttons from being accidentally deactivated and a T/B Gang switch links the operation of talkbacks A & B.

From the Redbox range is the RB-VHCMD16 which is a 16-channel combined de-embedder and embedder which has dual outputs, front panel and Ethernet control. Plus we're showing the RB-DEDD8 which is a Dolby E & Dolby Digital Decoder which decodes an incoming Dolby bitstream and transmits the decoded outputs on BNC or D-type connectors on the rear panel.

An LED studio sign from the SignalLED range is also on display, designed for outside recording, on-air & production studios, meeting rooms, conference rooms and for fixed installations but with low power consumption. The sign itself contains the control electronics, and RGB LEDs are used, so the signs can be simply configured onsite for your particular requirements. There are nine different colours in the series and each sign comes with flush mounting as standard plus a choice of 20cm (8") or 40cm (16") widths with the option of having a twin 20cm (8"), side by side. The units have low power consumption, (4W), are maintenance free and there is the option of having your sign customised with a company logo or wording of your choice.
