Cinnafilm announced it will be expanding its award-winning standards transcoding software, Tachyon, into Vidispine's broad-reaching Media Asset Management (MAM) solution, providing users the ability to access Cinnafilm's top shelf image processing conversion technology in a powerful digital management environment.

Vidispine serves as a framework or central repository for organizing different types of digital assets and manages a centralized workflow process across federated databases. The Vidispine MAM is completely software-based and includes built-in ingest and transcoding capabilities to handle many different standard formats.
