Spring Brings Changes to SiOL's Portfolio Ljubljana, 5 April Telekom Slovenije is introducing some changes to the internet and television services offered under its SiOL brand. They launched a new promotional campaign and 5 new TopTrio plans, with a promotional discount on SiOL Internet and other products, as well as benefits for new users in open broadband networks. They also added several new channels to SiOL TV. The advantages of SiOL's services are well known: all set-top boxes are HD ready and provide video on demand and live rewind; they have the largest number of HD, documentary, and dubbed children's channels, as well as the UEFA Champions League, HBO, and a popular loyalty program.
Recently a fifth member joined the TopTrio plans, which are available to users of both xDSL and fiber-optics broadband networks. New and existing subscribers can take advantage of an excellent promotional discount, enjoying TopTrio plans for the first 2 months free of charge. TopTrio Basic is aimed at the most casual users, who are looking for something affordable. The plan includes 4/1 Mbps transfer rate on the copper network or 10/10 Mbps on the fiber-optics network. Calls to other SiOL users are free and there are more than 90 channels available in the TV service. TopTrio Mini HBO is an introductory plan for advanced television services. In addition to the more than 90 channels, including HBO and HBO Comedy, it also comes with some advanced functions like live rewind, weather, TuneIN (70,000 radio stations), and SiOL TViN. Phone calls within the SiOL network are free. Data rates with this plan range from up to 6/1 Mbps variable on the copper network and 20/20 on the fiber-optics network. The most popular TopTrio plan remains the same as it always was, which means it comes with all the advanced functions, SiOL Nogomet (for football fans) and SiOL TViN, and free phone calls in SiOL's network. It comes with more than 110 channels, and speeds of up to 10/1 or 10/2 Mbps variable on the copper network and 20/20 Mbps on the fiber-optics network. TopTrio HBO has everything listed above, but also comes with ov er 120 channels and the additional channels HBO and HBO Comedy. The TopTrio Mega HD plan brings the best user experience. The plan includes speeds of up to 15/1 or 15/4 Mbps variable on the copper network or 50/20 Mbps on the fiber-optics network. It comes with more than 180 channels, including 22 in HD. It also comes with all the options included in the previous two plans.
The prices of the new TopTrio plans are very competitive and start at 32 per month. Telekom Slovenije has a special offer for all new and uncommitted subscribers who choose one of these plans. Those signing a user agreement by 31 May for one of the TopTrio plans for 24 months will receive the first 2 months free.
This offer also applies for SiOL Internet services. If they conclude a 12-month agreement, the first 2 months are free, but if they enter into a 24-month agreement, the free period is extended to 5 months. There is another promotional offer in place until the end of May on several products, especially on consumer electronics.
In addition to all these changes, new channels were also added to SiOL TV yesterday. BBC Knowledge and GINX HD (channels 102 and 103 respectively) have been added to the Mega HD plan, while Dorcel HD (channel 905) is now a part of the Eksplozivni add-on. Another new feature is the Balkan add-on, bringing with it an additional 49 channels which can be found starting on channel 740. The price of this add-on is 6 per month, although all SiOL TV subscribers will be able to enjoy this add-on until the end of May for free.
