French content provider, Fran aise d'Images, has extended its use of MatrixStore, a media focused private cloud, to migrate and protect its entire archive.

Fran aise d'Images is tasked with managing broadcast activities for the leading operator of France's national lottery games, from production to delivery. With a growing catalogue of assets and internal requests, it was becoming increasingly challenging for the group to find the right content and therefore distribute it to the right audience. The sheer volume of content also meant the archive system needed replacing with one that would be scalable, able to grow without compromising security and offer instant access.

Having implemented MatrixStore for production nearline parking in the past, Fran aise d'Images chose to extend its use to manage their entire digital archive.

The solution protects and preserves content throughout its lifespan. VIDELIO Cap'Cin , a local renowned service provider, did the integration of MatrixStore on the production site of Boulogne-Billancourt, France. The platform, initially used to park production content was extended to strengthen security of content at enterprise level and is now at the heart of the Companies' business continuity strategy. In fact, Fran aise d'Images leverages the native asynchronous replication feature of MatrixStore to copy assets to another remote MatrixStore cluster hosted on a different site.

We were looking for a reliable and scalable solution to digitise our tape archive and streamline the operational costs.
