Banijay Rights, the international distribution arm of Banijay Group, has concluded significant sales for its latest factual crime series, as I Married A Murderer is signed in the UK and American Justice is picked up in the US, it was announced today by CEO Tim Mutimer.
The psychologically compelling true crime series I Married A Murderer has presold to UKTV, where it will air on its channel Really later this year. Produced by Bellum Entertainment, the 104-episode series has also been picked up by Australia's Foxtel for their C&I channel, in a presale brokered by Alex LeMerle, VP of Sales. Created by UK indie Minnow Films for BBC Two, gripping documentary American Justice (3 x 60') is heading to National Geographic in the US following a deal negotiated by Andreas Lemos, VP of Acquisitions & Sales for North America. This hard-hitting series, which premiered in the UK earlier this year, has also been acquired by SBS in Australia.

I Married A Murderer tells the shocking real-life stories of once-loving couples whose marriages end in murder. Every case is told with real evidence, convincing dramatisations, and interviews with experts in homicide forensics, investigative journalism and psychology. Each story is structured to withhold the revelation about which spouse is the killer and foster a sense of mystery. But when the killer is eventually unmasked, it's time to capture them and uncover the motive behind the crime - whether it is for money, love, safety, freedom, or revenge!
Located in the city of Jacksonville, Florida's murder capital', American Justice gets to the heart of the issues shaking a nation, telling the story of the justice system through the eyes of those who administer it every day. As America elects its next president and Black Lives Matter protests erupt across the country, this captivating documentary rides alongside cops and ventures inside courts and jails in one of the nation's toughest states.
