On April 3,2013 the press conference on the topic 400 Days Before the World Ice Hockey Championship 2014 was held in the National press center, where organizers of the tournament told about preparation to this great competition and work on the World Championship promotion as well as answered the questions of journalists.

RUE Beltelecom, represented by its General Director Popkov Sergey Petrovich, during the press conference was awarded with the certificate of theofficial partner of the World Ice Hockey Championship 2014.

In May, 2009 according to the decision of the Annual Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) the right to host the World Ice Hockey Championship 2014 was given to Belarus. The competitions will be held in Minsk on May 9 25, 2014.
