Simplicity, Versatility, and Scalability Give Teams Freedom to Design Their Own Workflows

GB Labs, the leader in intelligent and scalable shared storage solutions, will unveil Core.ONE at IBC2026 on Stand 1.D24. Designed to give media teams the freedom to work the way they want, Core.ONE brings storage, protection, and access together in a single platform, regardless of where storage lives, the size of their operation, or the complexity of the workflow. GB Labs is also introducing Kora at the show; a conversational assistant built into Core.ONE.

Core.ONE is built around a simple premise: storage shouldn't dictate how a team works. The platform accommodates on-premises, cloud and hybrid storage environments, allowing multiple systems, sites and storage types to function as a single, straightforward platform. The result is a storage environment that adapts to the needs of the team, rather than forcing teams to adapt their workflows to the underlying infrastructure.

Kora, the AI conversational assistant built into Core.ONE, removes the need to navigate complex menus or rely on IT or a storage specialist to answer routine questions. Users can simply ask Kora a question, in any language, and receive an answer grounded in the system's actual, live status. For example, users can ask about a clip's codec, the health of a RAID array, or whether last night's replication completed successfully. Kora turns a time-consuming storage management task into a simple conversation, providing immediate answers without requiring specialist knowledge.

Behind the scenes, Core.ONE handles performance and protection. Read and write traffic are managed simultaneously allowing a large ingest, an active edit, and an overnight backup to run together without slowing down any function. Storage can scale alongside the organization, while archive and disaster recovery capabilities can be sized according to actual requirements. The platform is also fully compatible with the editing tools and MAM systems that media teams already rely on, allowing them to easily integrate Core.ONE.

Core.ONE serves as the foundation of every GB Labs system. Customers can choose the hardware configuration that best suits their requirements, from junior enterprise FastNAS and high-performance UltraNAS to backup/archive storage with EchoNAS and cloud storage through NebulaNAS. This gives organisations a clear path to scale their storage as their needs evolve, without teams redesigning the way they work.
