Namit Malhotra to keynote at FICCI FRAMES 2014, Los Angeles
FICCI FRAMES, South Asia's largest media and entertainment industry convention is organizing its first ever overseas edition in Los Angeles on Future of Media and Entertainment: Building a new age Global Ecosystem - Challenges and Opportunities: US, India and the World'. The day-long conference will discuss the future of entertainment amidst the 360-degrees disruption' by the digital world on 30th September 2014 at the University of South California (USC). Namit Malhotra, Founder, Executive Chairman & Global CEO of Prime Focus will be a keynote speaker at the event and will talk on New Reality: Is Today's Back Office Tomorrows Front Office?'. India's apex industry body FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) is organizing the event under the mentorship of internationally renowned film-maker and director Shekhar Kapur and in association with well-known law firm Nishith Desai Associates.
FICCI FRAMES US will be held at a time when Indias Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in the US and promoting people to people contact will be an important agenda in his talks with US President Barrack Obama. With the Media and Entertainment industry being the ideal vehicle to attain this objective, the initiative is also an opportunity for FICCI to strengthen India-US engagement and facilitate the exploration of future dynamics and synergies between the worlds two most vibrant entertainment economies.
Prime Focus will share the platform with many prominent speakers from Indian and American conglomerates such as Warner Bros., Disney, Dolby and Microsoft as well as important Hollywood producers such as Barry Levine. Renowned creative leaders from the Indian film industry such as Shekhar Kapur, director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, Academy Award winner Resul Pookutty, as well as the deans of UCLA and USC are expected to speak at the convention.
