Music creatives conference to take place over two days, November 9-10
Music Expo San Francisco takes place over the weekend of November 9-10.
Music Expo, the seminar, networking and technology conference series for music creatives presented in association with Sound On Sound, is running its final event of the year at the SAE Expression College in San Francisco - the city where the Expo held its inaugural event back in 2014. But Music Expo SF 2019, which takes place over the weekend of November 9-10, is a much bigger beast, and now runs for two days.
The longer schedule allows time for even more workshops from music technology companies, producers and engineers and influential music industry personnel. Confirmed attendees at the time of writing include mastering engineer Piper Payne (who will lead various sessions devoted to the science and art of all-analogue recording and mixing), Tiana Lewis, Head of Pop and R&B Programming at Pandora Media, Music Supervisor at Google Nellie Rajabi, and Grammy winning Recording Engineer Brian Gibbs, plus representatives from Focusrite/Novation, Yamaha, Steinberg, Eventide and Leapwing Audio.

How to Turn a Song Into a Hit Song

Mind Your Own Music Business
A panel from four corners of the music business (design, legal, financial and musical) look at creativity in the business from their own unique perspective. Featuring Stefan Aronsen of Balanced Breakfast, Alison Lucille Griggs from Note 4 Note Accounting, Lalin St. Juste from The Seshen, and Mark Pearson from ARC Law Group.
Spatial Audio Tools, Techniques and Philosophy
Engineer/Producer Brian Gibbs looks at how multi-channel 360 audio is becoming a production technique we will all need to understand - particularly in the world of music for games.
Finding your audience
This panel will explore how to use your existing on-line audience on Spotify, Facebook, Insta, Twitter to expand to a global level.
