Particularly in the fields of live entertainment and installation the new active cables will meet the highest demands: the HDMI 2.0a version achieves 18 Gbit/s of bandwidth and the DisplayPort 1.4 variant even 25 Gbit/s. Because in the new AOC glass fiber hybrid lines the required electronics is already built into the connector shell. This facilitates the handling in the professional area and, due to their compact size and the waiver of a separate power supply, makes installation easier as well.
