Made in California: The Lincoln Lawyer' Raises the Bar for Los Angeles Production

Los Angeles traffic never looked this good. Mickey Haller and his signature blue Continental convertible are back on the case for Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer, and once again, Mickey's hometown plays a starring role.

Based on the sixth book in Michael Connelly's bestselling The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Law of Innocence, the fourth season sees Mickey Haller as he faces his toughest case yet. To prove his innocence in the murder of a former client, Mickey and his team must go head-to-head with the DA's office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey's own past. Season 4 debuted at #2 on the Global Top 10 English Series list, drawing 9M views. (The series was also recently renewed for a fifth season.)

Production for all four seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer spanned 359 days and hired over 4,300 cast and crew. Additionally, the show has worked with more than 50 local vendors like Lennie Marvins Prop Heaven and Hollywood Cinema Arts, and has featured work from local artists like Matthew Nordman and Chris Carriveau in Mickey's law office and home.

The legal drama has filmed at over 50 locations across Los Angeles since its debut, including Season 4 stops like Dodger Stadium, Grand Central Market, the Bradbury Building, Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant, Los Angeles City Hall, Redbird, the Los Angeles Times Building, Hop Woo, the Vincent Thomas Bridge, and Bacio di Latte in Larchmont Village, among others. In true Angelino fashion, several food trucks have also gotten the spotlight treatment on the series, including Tacos Y Birria La Unica Truck, Gozen Food Truck and The Lobos Truck. Beyond Los Angeles city lines, Season 4 also called action in nearby areas such as Artesia, Covina, Long Beach, Lynwood, Rancho Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Santa Clarita and Torrance.

And it's not just geographical landmarks making an appearance this season. One of the city's most famous chefs, Nancy Silverton, pops up as herself, a world-renowned restaurateur and owner of local hot spot Osteria Mozza. (In addition to her past appearance on Chef's Table, her award-winning restaurant also recently made a memorable cameo on Nobody Wants This Season 2.)

Behind the scenes, The Lincoln Lawyer is also finding ways to give back to the city. For the third season in a row, the legal drama (in partnership with A+E Studios, which produces the series) hosted individuals from the Los Angeles-based non-profit ManifestWorks. Through immersive learning, real-world work experience and a network of professional mentors, Manifest Works connects those impacted by foster care, homelessness and incarceration with job opportunities while providing ongoing life and professional skills to support long-term success.

Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer provided trainee Solomon Henry with practical hands-on training in the camera department and connections to entertainment industry professionals. Partnering with other organizations like Netflix and Local 600 has helped me get in rooms and around the right people to help me in my career that I otherwise may not have had access to, Henry said.

Past trainees on the series include Jade Baez and Michael Foster for Season 3 and Darnell Twinn, who was hired by the show's props department in Season 3 after a successful training stint on Season 2.

All four seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer are now streaming - only on Netflix.
