Rascular Continues Russian Success with NTV Plus and Channel One International 03 Sep 2014

Rascular, the leading supplier of PC-based multi-device control, has today announced additional sales successes in Russia. Both NTV Plus and Channel One International (otherwise known as First Channel World Wide) have turned to Rascular for its renowned control technologies: Helm, Mediant and ET-Updater Pro.

Sales and after-sales service has been provided by Rascular's regional partner OKNO-TV.

NTV Plus has recently completed a new eight-channel playout facility. NTV Plus is the brand name for a Russian satellite TV platform that includes a range of channels. NTV Plus wanted a solution that allowed an operator sitting at a single workstation to monitor the activities of their eight channels of Miranda Imagestore 750 channel branding equipment: Mediant facilitates this. Helm has been deployed to act as essential backup control of channel branding that can be easily and quickly accessed by operators.

First Channel World Wide, which has 20 TV channels in total and broadcasts not only to Russia but also overseas to CIS, more widely across Europe and also to the US. The overall project that the broadcaster recently completed includes 20-channel automation, a production studio and a new MAM system for HD playout.

Rascular's Mediant is being used to deliver playout-ready content to Miranda Imagestores across all 20 channels, providing a streamlined graphics workflow. Mediant is a media-management system for Imagestore branding devices, allowing operators to drag and drop branding and media assets between PCs and branding device, automatically converting assets to the required formats for these HD channels.
