Volvo Cars Finland today announced that its 2014 models equipped with Sensus infotainment and RTI navigation systems, now also will include Mediamobile's V-Traffic TMC Traffic information. The premium real-time traffic information enhances the navigation experience makes travel more efficient and contributes to road safety - the fundamental value of Volvo Cars.
The V-Traffic Premium TMC service provide drivers with real-time information on traffic incidents, such as traffic jams, accidents, severe driving conditions, road works and other traffic incidents on the Finnish main road network. It also significantly improves the turn by turn navigation, by estimating the best route and estimated travel time depending on traffic conditions.

Drivers often rely on the content and services offered by their smartphone inside their car. However, the phone remains a major source of distraction whilst driving. By bringing traffic information into the navigation system, Volvo Cars pushes the road safety boundaries further. says Matti Seimola, Sales and Marketing at Mediamobile Nordic. Volvo Sensus Infotainment was initially launched in 2010, and has continued to evolve ever since. All Volvo 2014 models fitted with a Sensus navigation system as a factory installed option, will now benefit from V-Traffic real time traffic information. The system also features Active TFT Crystal Driver's' Display, High Performance Multimedia 7 audio system, Volvo-on-Call security and other convenience services. Optional features such as Internet connection, Spotify and GoogleMaps can also be added.
The Sensus navigation system with V-Traffic services is now available at all Finnish Volvo dealers.
