Integrated System Illustrates Verimatrix Commitment to Provide Customers with Advanced Technology in Cardless Security Solutions Las Vegas, NAB Show 2013 April 8, 2013 Verimatrix, the specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-network, multi-screen digital TV services, today announced it is demonstrating the end-to-end integration of Cryptography Research, Inc. (CRI) CryptoFirewall hardware-based security core integrated with its Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS) for IPTV cardless security solution in its booth #SU9105 at NAB Show 2013.

The CryptoFirewall is a dedicated hardware security core integrated directly into set-top box system-on-chip (SoC) devices to provide a secure hardware foundation preventing signal theft. In a multi-company collaboration, the CryptoFirewall security core technology, as demonstrated by Verimatrix, is embedded in the STMicroelectronics STiH207 family of devices with component and system integration support provided by SypherMedia International (SMI).

This demonstration illustrates the Verimatrix commitment to developing strong security platforms that address evolving threats to video service revenue streams, said Paul Kocher, president and chief scientist at Cryptography Research. The demonstration underscores the Verimatrix VCAS capability to take advantage of the most advanced security hardware available on today's SoC designs, and the tremendous value of this flexibility for operators and broadcasters looking to protect their content.

The proven security of the CryptoFirewall core provides a highly advanced addition to Verimatrix cardless security solutions, said Petr Peterka, CTO at Verimatrix.
