Accedo Grants Mediaset Espa a A Seasonal Wish

OTT TV Service Mitele Goes Live On Samsung Smart TVs Madrid, Spain, 9th December 2015

Accedo (www.accedo.tv), the global market leader in TV application solutions, today revealed that it has partnered with Spain's largest TV network, Mediaset Espa a (http://www.mediaset.es/), to launch it's OTT TV service Mitele (http://www.mitele.es/) on Samsung Smart TVs ahead of this year's holiday season. The service is fully powered by Accedo's award winning application management solution, Accedo AppGrid (http://appgrid.accedo.tv), making it both highly configurable and flexible.

A compilation of Mediaset's Espa a most popular TV content all in high definition Mitele went live on December 3rd and comprises TV series, news and a dedicated channel for Big Brother. Initially exclusive to Samsung Smart TV viewers, Mitele will launch on additional devices in 2016.

The Mitele application was developed using the Accedo VIA Development Kit (VDK) and connected to Accedo AppGrid for maximum cloud configurability. Being able to manage the application in this way, means that Mediaset can update and customize the application dynamically, according to user behaviour and extend in line with their business growth.
