You must be your own driving force - fearless and determined to bring your ideas to life on paper, in person and via any sales tools that YOU create. A proven track record is an absolute necessity.

Conceptualize ideas for all-genre proposals - covering reality, magazine, factual, drama, digital (including made for mobile) and youth.

To expertly draft end-user appropriate written proposals for broadcasters and agencies, local & internationally.

Ensure projects are based on a sound understanding of cost, quality, delivery date, rights exploitation and funding needs

Be aware of what is happening in the local and international broadcasting world

To understand and have the skills to draft full production budgets, production schedules and cash flow schedules

Working with commercial department in brainstorming and drafting sales packs for potential clients - one-pagers, PowerPoint presentations, budgets and treatments, sizzle reels and brochures.

Pitching concepts effectively

Requirements

Three to five years writing, budgeting, scriptwriting or development

Three years (minimum) working on productions

Tertiary education

Local and international knowledge of broadcast industry

Creative ideation and excellent presentation skills

Planning and organization

Successfully sold one or more commissioned series

Experience with advertiser funded programming
