Sony has today announced that it has signed up to join the Digital Production Partnership (DPP) Compliance Programme.
The programme was created by the DPP in partnership with the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) and was launched in summer 2014. It has been designed to help the industry identify trusted products for DPP standards across the UK and to speed up the successful implementation of the digital delivery process.
The announcement comes in advance of the DPPs File Delivery Day on the 1st of October 2014, when broadcasters in the United Kingdom will switch to file-based delivery for receipt of programmes for broadcast.

Following the announcement, Sony will begin to submit the first products to the DPP Test Lab for evaluation.
