Winner of 2025 Tribeca Festival's AT&T Untold Stories Pitch Set to Premiere at the 2026 Festival

New York, NY, 2025 - October 14, 2025 - Liz Sargent's feature debut Take Me Home today announced a stellar cast comprised of Anna Sargent (Liz Sargents own sister), Victor Slezak (Hell on Wheels, The Order, Babygirl), Ali Ahn (Agatha All Along, The Diplomat, The Other Two), Marceline Hugot (Gilded Age, Black Mirror, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel); and Shane Harper (Power Book IV: Force, Hightown, A Teacher).

I'm excited to work with these incredible actors, who are approaching this process with an open mind and a deep respect for my sister Anna, says writer and director Liz Sargent. When I cast, I'm looking for something deeply human-a personal connection that goes beyond character. It's an honor to have this cast share a piece of themselves into my familys intimate and vulnerable story.

Take Me Home tells the story of Anna, a 38-year-old Korean adoptee with a cognitive disability. Anna cares for her aging parents in a fragile balance of meeting each others' needs. When a Florida heat wave shatters their family and Anna's routine, her future becomes uncertain - until she creates a world where she can thrive.

Liz Sargent won the eighth annual AT&T Untold Stories Pitch at the 2025 Tribeca Festival with Take Me Home, which wrapped shooting in Florida this September. The feature is adapted from a proof-of-concept short of the same name, also starring Anna Sargent, which premiered at Sundance in 2023, won the Grand Jury Prize at 2024s American Cinematheques PROOF Film Festival, and was the centerpiece at the White House's celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Olmstead Act. As part of the AT&T Untold Stories program, the feature is set to premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.

The film is produced by Apoorva Guru Charan (Joyland), and Minos Papas (Motherwitch) under the helm of Cyprian Films New York and All Caps. Executive Producers include Ai-jen Poo & Lydia Storie for Caring Across Generations, Jane Shin Park, Andrew Kim, Philipp Engelhorn & Candice Sanchez McFarlane for Cinereach, Bill Pohlad & Kelly Martin for River Road, and former Academy President Janet Yang.

Victor Slezak is represented by Artists & Representatives and Wright Entertainment; Ali Ahn by Gersh Agency and ATA Management; Marceline Hugot by SMS Talent; and Shane Harper by Gersh Agency and Luber Roklin Entertainment.

Established in 2017, AT&T Untold Stories has become a cornerstone of Tribeca's artist development efforts and a transformative force in the film industry. Each year, the program awards one emerging filmmaker funding to produce a feature film, along with mentorship, industry support, and a guaranteed premiere at the Tribeca Festival. Since its launch, the program has supported 40 projects, produced eight winning films, and helped launch the careers of dozens of emerging filmmakers. Winning films celebrate their world premieres at the Tribeca Festival and have been distributed across all major platforms, including Netflix and HBO Max, averaging 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Previous winners include: Faraday Okoro's Nigerian Prince; Sasie Sealy's Lucky Grandma; Kate Tsang's Marvelous and the Black Hole; Nardeep Khurmi's Land of Gold directed; So Young Shelly Yo's Smoking Tigers; David Fortune's Color Book; and Lilian T Mehrel's Honeyjoon.

Beginning with the 2026 Tribeca Festival-the Festival's 25th anniversary-the top production prize will increase from $1 million to $1.2 million, reinforcing its status as the largest unrestricted film production award of its kind in the world.
