Berklee's Signature Series will present Great American Songbook: What About Us-A P!NK Celebration on Thursday, March 5, and Friday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center.
Produced by Maureen McMullan PD '09, the performance brings together more than 100 Berklee students representing over 30 countries and 21 states for an electrifying salute to P!NK, one of the highest-grossing female touring artists of all time. Through bespoke arrangements and emotionally charged storytelling, the interdisciplinary performance will capture the raw vulnerability, anthemic power, and unshakable spirit that have made P!NK a global superstar.
The two-night event will feature a 23-piece band, including a string quartet and six-piece horn section. In a nod to P!NKs physically expressive performances, the choreography will incorporate acrobatics and circus arts-style movement performed by students in Boston Conservatory at Berklee's Dance Division, which is home to a minor in cirque/circus arts and the first of its kind in the United States. The concert will highlight original choreography by faculty Ruka Hatua-Saar White and Alexis Beffer, alongside student Journee Brownridge, a senior studying commercial dance.
This production is both a celebration of P!NKs fearless artistry and a showcase of whats possible when artists and creatives across disciplines are empowered to bring heart, skill, and individuality into the room, said McMullan. P!NK has spent more than two decades carving out her own lane-writing her truth, pushing boundaries lyrically and physically, and redefining the live concert experience by always putting the audience at the center. That spirit of authenticity and generosity is exactly what we wanted our students to tap into.
About P!NKAlecia Beth Moore-Hart, known professionally as P!NK, has spent over two decades challenging conventions as a pop-rock powerhouse. With more than 135 million records sold worldwide, recognition from Billboard as the Pop Songs Artist of the 2000s, and a legacy built on bold self-expression and activism, she has cemented her role as a defining voice of her generation. The Berklee tribute will showcase 24 P!NK songs in solo and medley versions.
About the Great American Songbook SeriesFor nearly 25 years, the Great American Songbook concert series has honored artists and songwriters whose work continues to resonate across generations. This year's production underscores the breadth, depth, and diversity of the Berklee student body, showcasing a vibrant array of instrumentation, academic majors, and creative specializations across the Berklee curriculum.
Tickets for the performances are $19.50-$26.00 and can be purchased online and at the Berklee Box Office.
