The parents of actors Kyle Clark and Ray Buso represented the parents of their characters, Zee Guliwe and Dr Sudesh Reddy at their wedding.

KYLE CLARK, RAY BUSO INVITES MOMS TO CEREMONY The SABC2 cancelled soapie, 7de Laan made history on Thursday, 23 November when they aired the first wedding of a same sex couple in the history of the show.
Actor Kyle Clark, who portrays the character of Dr Sudesh Reddy confirmed on his Facebook account they've made history.

Clark also thanked viewers for giving him and Ray Neo Buso (who portrays Zee Guliwe) the space to be themselves and for accepting them in their homes.
Last night, we made history as the first same sex marriage on 7DeLaan. This turned out to be bigger than our wildest dreams. Having Ray standing across from me as we both witnessed the space our LGBTQIA+ community has grown from, was pure magic! Our time is now & it's long overdue
, wrote the actor.
7de Laan also revealed on their social media accounts that Buso and Clark invited their real-life parents to their on-screen wedding.
