ales Celebrates the Grand Opening of a New Facility in Piscataway, New Jersey

Piscataway, NJ, April 3, 2013 Thales Avionics Services Worldwide (ASW), a global business unit of Thales Avionics, Inc. with facilities around the world, celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at 140 Centennial Avenue in Piscataway on April 3.

The new Piscataway Service Center (PSC) adds significant value to customers and employees alike through the combined efficiencies of enhanced infrastructure investments and the benefits of all under one roof' operations, said ASW, Americas Vice President and General Manager Ed Senen. The new PSC is the result of more than one year of diligent planning to deliver the uninterrupted support of our customers throughout the transfer of our legacy Seattle, WA, and Edison, NJ, operations to our new, state-of-the-art, world-class service support facility in Piscataway, NJ.

The ASW business provides an innovative and global range of support and services for avionics in the civil aerospace market. At the new facility in Piscataway, the workforce of over 200 employees is equipped to handle basic and complex service needs including maintenance, repair, spare equipment sales, and engineering services for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), airlines and helicopter business jet operations in the Americas. As an OEM, Thales has extensive and recognized expertise for providing avionics services on every type of aircraft it supports.

Invited guests for the ribbon cutting ceremony included Acting New Jersey Governor Kim Guadagno and Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler. In addition to the formal ceremony, guests were given the opportunity to tour the new 61,000 square-foot facility.
