Suitcase TV announces expansion

Suitcase TV, a leader in software engineering for the broadcasting industry has announced a successful and productive BVE 2015, where hundreds of delegates took the opportunity to discuss the companys wide range of solutions in media asset management, compliance logging, and live editing. In addition, it was the perfect opportunity for delegates to meet two recent and well-known additions to the Suitcase TV staff.

Joining staff on the Suitcase TV stand for the first time was Fraser Jardine, who has recently taken over as commercial director. As the company extends its global operations, Fraser Jardine will manage Suitcase TV s expanding sales and marketing operations while also building a network of global resellers to maximise sales in key regions. With over twenty years in the industry, he is co-founder and now advisor to cloud playout provider Veset International and has held the role of vice president, global sales at OASYS Automated Playout Ltd.

I couldnt have joined Suitcase TV at a better time, he comments. BVE is an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our products and our customers quickly. Visitors have shown massive interest in us and Im incredibly excited about the future.

Ed Calverley, who started work with Suitcase TV just one day before BVE, joins as product manager. Having worked for the BBC as project manager, Ed has been through the corporations broadcast engineer training. Amongst his achievements at the BBC was managing the project to digitise the BBC Worldwide channels. More recently, Ed has worked at OASYS where he was instrumental in establishing the company as a major supplier of playout technologies.

Ed explains: Ive been aware of Suitcase TV for a long time and I cant overstate how amazing the technology is. Im particularly delighted to be working with iphrame Vision as this is a technology that is clearly set to take the industry by storm.

Iphrame Vision

Used at various events including Glastonbury Festival, T in the Park, The Queens Baton Relay and more, iphrame Vision proved to be a big draw to visitors. A software solution offering many of the benefits of a traditional vision mixer, iphrame Vision can be run on standard IT hardware from a COTS entry level desktop PC for low-cost operation in a single box, to dedicated rack-mounted hardware with client/server architecture. In addition, the ability to connect to remote sources via IP offers clear advantages in terms of logistics and associated costs.

Purple Logging

Suitcase TV was also eager to show off the latest version of Purple Logging, which facilitates the review of logged video, audio and other data for regulatory and contractual compliance. Clips can be searched and selected by date and time via the as-run schedule, or by a single click on the timeline, and exported for review.
