Andr s Cepeda to Present Berklee Signature Series Concert The Latin Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter will perform music in various styles alongside Berklee students on November 10.

Andr s Cepeda, an acclaimed Colombian singer-songwriter, will perform alongside Berklee students in a Signature Series concert on November 10.

Berklee's fall Signature Series continues with a special performance by Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Andr s Cepeda on Thursday, November 10, at 8:00 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center. At Andr s Cepeda Meets Berklee, the acclaimed singer-songwriter will perform music in various styles, including Latin pop-rock, bolero, and balada, accompanied by Berklee students.

Cepeda's career first took off in the 1990s as the lead singer of the Latin pop-rock band Poligamia. After the group disbanded, he launched a solo career and recorded 10 albums under his own name, with his 2001 album, El Carpintero, achieving quadruple-platinum status in his native Colombia. An eight-time Latin Grammy nominee, Cepeda won his first Latin Grammy in 2013 in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category for Lo Mejor Que Hay en Mi Vida.

Backed by a large group of student musicians, Cepeda will celebrate the music of Colombia through performances of original arrangements by student writers. The concert is directed by Oscar Stagnaro, professor of bass; Matthew Nicholl, dean of the Professional Writing and Music Technology Division; and Lee Abe, associate professor of contemporary writing and production.

It is an honor to welcome an artist as prolific as Andr s Cepeda to Berklee, said Nicholl. Throughout his career, Andr s has displayed tremendous versatility across a host of Latin music genres, always remaining proud of his Colombian roots and the music that inspired him to perform in the first place. This concert will be a celebration of his talents and those of our incredible students, who will perform alongside him with their own arrangements.

Andr s Cepeda Meets Berklee will take place at the Berklee Performance Center, located at 136 Massachusetts Avenue, in Boston. Tickets are $15-$20 for regular seating, with a discount for Berklee community members. Purchase tickets.
