New Release of HP Haven Big Data Platform Delivers Advanced Search, Analytics and Speech-to-Text Capabilities

Palo Alto, Calif. Mar. 30, 2015 HP today unveiled a new release of its HP Haven Big Data Enterprise and OnDemand Platform that incorporates new and advanced analytics and predictive capabilities for enterprises working with the huge volumes and varieties of information being generated and consumed today.

New HP Haven Release featuring Advanced Search and Unified Design Delivers Seamless Integration and Multi-Structured Big Data Analytics

The HP Haven Connector Framework capability combines the context-aware, unstructured data analytics of HP IDOL with the advanced SQL-based analytics capabilities of HP Vertica. This widens the universe of information that can be ingested and analyzed by HP Haven to hundreds of different enterprise and cloud data sources, including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle and SAP enterprise applications, Box.net, Salesforce.com, Google Drive, and many others.

In addition, the HP Haven Big Data Platform now includes an advanced Knowledge Graphing feature a powerful tool that enables organizations to uncover and analyze valuable relationships and connections among information entities for more advanced and contextually aware semantic search within diverse structured and unstructured data sources such as social media content feeds. For example, an enterprise can build an experts and influencers catalog' of who-knows-what and who-knows-whom to fully capture and leverage organizational expertise.

Over the past 18 months,Nottingham Trent University(@TrentUni), one of the largest universities in the U.K. with over 28,000 students, has used the HP Haven Big Data Platform to proactively identify underperforming students at risk of potentially failing or dropping out. Advanced Speech and Language Identification Capabilities Reduce Text Analytics Errors by up to 75% Compared to Traditional Approaches

Powered by advanced deep neural network technology, the new release features speech to-text analytics that delivers unmatched accuracy for over 20 languages, including French, German, Spanish, Greek, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, and Mandarin. The result of tens of thousands of hours of audio sampling via the self-learning neural network technology, HP Haven Speech-to-Text analytics delivers up to a 75% reduction in errors as compared to traditional, statistical model approaches.

Targeted Query Response Developers can refine and customize search results based on specific sets of criteria such as the user's profile information, to ensure that the most relevant information and insights are delivered instantly.

IDOL Search Optimizer Managers can gain greater transparency using IDOL Search Optimizer to preview and understand the types of searches being conducted by users, and see the quality of results being returned. Also, a manager can schedule promotions to elevate certain search results for a defined period.
