A New Channel Layout for SiOL TV Ljubljana, 7 March Telekom Slovenije made some changes to the SiOL TV channel layout yesterday. Because of numerous customer requests, the order of channels was rearranged, now appearing grouped together by category or topic of interest. Now the first 14 channels are the most watched ones, the 100s are documentary programs, while film buffs should check out the 200s, and all those interested in the entertainment world should check out the entertainment channels in the 300s. Children's programming is now located in the 400s, and sports enthusiasts can catch the game in the 500s. Channels from 600 to 669 are reserved for music and radio, while all other local and news channels can be found on channels above 670.
These changes did not affect those who have already set the channel order to their own needs. Anybody who wants to rearrange the channel layout to their liking may do so via the service site on the web portal moj.telekom.si. Now users will even be able to reorder those channels that were previously fixed. Telekom Slovenije informed its users about these changes by mail, email, and by posting news on its websites and in public media. Some users obviously missed the memo, which Telekom Slovenije has gathered from the fact that, in addition to several compliments regarding the new channel order, they have received several calls asking for help and guidance in terms of settings and the new channel layout.
In addition to these changes, yesterday Telekom Slovenije introduced some other new features regarding SiOL TV plans, introducing new channels and increasing the number of HD channels. Now SiOL TV will offer 27 channels in HD, and that number will continue growing in the future. Most of the new features are available to subscribers to the Mega plan. Their Mega plan was automatically migrated to the new, upgraded Mega HD plan, which in addition to the existing channels boasts 17 new HD channels and 5 new channels in standard definition. The Mega plan now has a total of 20 HD channels. HD is supported on all types of SiOL TV set top boxes that are available to users right now.
