Jordi de el R o: "MAC is the essential dialogue between operators in the sector" The Catalan Audiovisual Market will be held June 15 in los d as 14 y Roca Umbert Arts factory (Granollers).

Dish of the Audiovisual Center of Roca Umbert in Granollers yesterday hosted the press conference of presentation of the 18th Edition of the Mercat Audiovisual de Catalunya (MAC). The event was attended by Jordi de el R o, general director of Mitjans de Comunicaci of the Generalitat; Enric Rimbau, head of LaXarxa content; Josep Mayoral, Mayor of Granollers; Jordi Terrades, Councillor organization and knowledge-based society; Alba Barnusell, Councillor for communication and strategic projects, and Josep Maria Codina, Mercat Audiovisual de Catalunya.

Benchmark Catalan audiovisual meeting this year celebrates the 18th Edition news. In terms of format, the MAC extends duration to two days: on 14 and 15 June, and also grows on surface, occupying a total of 2.156 m , within the complex from Roca Umbert Arts factory.

At the press conference, Jordi de el Rio, saw the MAC as "space for essential dialogue between operators in the sector", while, referring to the extensive program of the event, talked about "the excellent health of the MAC, as it also has radio".

In this edition of the MAC an x-ray of the current moment of proximity communication, will be special consideration in the location of the radio in Catalonia or new trends in consumption, among other topics. These sessions will count with the participation of the own Jordi de el R o; Roger Loppacher, President of ACC; Saul Gordillo, director of Catalunya R dio; journalists such as Salvador Alsius Xantal Llavina and experts like Professor Emili Prado or the director of the Radio Observatory to Catalunyaa, Josep Maria Mart .

For its part, the Councillor for communication and strategic projects of the city of Granollers, Alba Barnusell, highlighted the "programme of the MAC, in which local and proximity communication will be important, with the incorporation of the digital aspect of the hand of Digital Granollers, in addition to other activities such as the session with influencers and brand relationship; the scope of video games, virtual reality, or spherical cinema".

Enric Rimbau, head of content of the Local communication network, described the Conference organized by the MAC as "very useful for the sector". In particular, the sessions organized by LaXarxa will rotate around the new system of fiber network that allows the transmission of contents in a fast and efficient manner; studies of audience in tvs proximity and the debate on the management of the television rights. Rimbau has spoken of the audiovisual sector as "a sector technologically prepared eager to face the new challenges, which are many".

Digital Granollers

This year, the MAC adds Digital Granollers platform with the organisation of activities related to sustainable cities mobility and with the educational community.

In this sense, the Councillor of society of the knowledge of the city of Granollers, Jordi Terrades, reviewed MAC proposes "a reflection on how they must be smart cities, which will involve in the new economy, as we prepare the city for the irruption of the electric vehicle and how the digital gaps should be avoided". At the same time, it will debate on "how you incorporate the universe 2.0 in schools", it said Terrades.
