Perform Group Launches OptaUS

Perform Content, a division of the leading digital sports media and content group Perform, announced the launch of OptaUS, the specialized arm of Opta dedicated to collecting, packaging, analyzing, and distributing live data across all major US sports.

Opta data is relied on by the most prominent brands in sports, including the world's leading sports broadcasters, digital media outlets, governing bodies, clubs, bookmakers, brands, sponsors, and daily fantasy providers.

With commercial offices located in New York and data facilities in Charlotte, NC, OptaUS will leverage the longstanding experience and expertise of the Opta team, collecting and providing data for one of the world's biggest and most passionate of sporting markets.

Opta US is currently collecting and providing detailed data from pro and college football, pro and college basketball and baseball. Hockey will be added to the list this fall for the start of the 2016-17 season.

Opta has had fantastic success in building its business in North America, says Angus McNab, Perform VP Content, North America. Our strong relationships with league partners, such as MLS and now the NASL, have been key to this and we thank them for their support. The services we provide our key broadcasters and digital clients have been very well received in North America, and we aim to continue to offer a high quality product, with affordable price points, in a market in which we believe this has been lacking.

Our multi-million dollar investment in our Charlotte Data Collection Hub shows that we are very serious about building this area of our business, says Eric Kutzin, VP Content - U.S. Sports Data. We will offer clients of OptaUS the same excellent standards of customer service, data delivery and editorial insight that we have been delivering around the globe in soccer, rugby, and cricket for many years.
