Korg announce final NAMM launches

Mixers and a range of coloured full-size MS20s complete diverse range of new products Just as NAMM 2020 was getting ready to open its doors, Korg completed their whirlwind round of launches. The final day of new announcements maintained the same eclectic mix we saw last week when the ARP 2600 and their new NC-Q1 DJ headphones were launched on the same day - this time, it was a classic synth reissue (the MS20), a pair of live sound mixers and an as-yet-unpriced keytar (the revised RK100S2, below)!

The new Soundlink hybrid analogue/digital live mixers - the £899$1299.99, 16-input MW1608 and the £1299$1499.99, 24-input MW2408 - are the first fruits of the collaboration announced last year with respected designers Greg Mackie and Peter Watts and combine the Mackie-designed analogue mixer and Watts-designed preamps with Korg digital effects and processing, including a feedback suppressor and an easy-to use one-knob compressor.

Korgs classic MS20 synth was re-released in miniature form in 2004 and as a full-sized limited-edition kit in 2014, but is now being re-released commercially (and fully assembled!) at its original size, and is therefore known as the MS20 FS for claritys sake. The MS20 FS is also available in four colour schemes: green, blue and white in addition to the original black (the synths themselves are all identical). Pricing has yet to be announced, although were hoping to get it at NAMM and will update this item when we do.

The Korg MS20 has had a full-sized reissue in three new colours alongside the original black finish.
