
Sergio Pablos y Filmin, finalistas en los Cartoon Tributes Estos premios, creados en 2001 en el marco del Cartoon Movie, el foro europeo de cine animaci n, reconocen la labor de los profesionales de la animaci n europea. Directores, productores y distribuidores de once pa ses europeos han sido nominados a los 20 Cartoon Tributes, premios que reconocen la labor de los profesionales de la animaci n europea. Creados en 2001, estos galardones se entregan anualmente en el marco de Cartoon Movie, el foro europeo de cine animaci n que se celebra del 3 al 5 de marzo en Burdeos, Francia.
Entre los nominados se encuentran los responsables de algunas de las pel culas europeas m s relevantes y premiadas a lo largo del ltimo a o, adem s de distribuidores y plataformas de streaming que han colaborado en la promoci n y circulaci n del cine europeo de animaci n.
La animaci n espa ola est presente con dos nominaciones. El director y guionista Sergio Pablos optar al premio Director Europeo del A o por Klaus, su pera prima producida por la madrile a The SPA Studios y distribuida por Netflix. El filme ha ganado siete premios Annie y ha sido nominado a Mejor Pel cula de Animaci n en la pasada edici n de los premios Oscar.
Meanwhile Filmin, la plataforma de cine y series online que opera en Espa a desde el a o 2008 y en Portugal desde 2016, es uno de los finalistas en la categor a Distribuidor Europeo del A o. El cat logo de esta plataforma se centra en el cine independiente y europeo y en 2013 lanz FilminKIDS, un canal exclusivo para ni os de entre 3 y 12 a os con una amplia oferta de m s de 320 pel culas y series, de las cuales el 88% son producciones europeas.
Elegidos por votaci n electr nica por los cerca de 950 participantes de Cartoon Movie, el Director, Distribuidor y Productor del a o ser n anunciados el pr ximo 5 de marzo en el Palacio de Congresos de Burdeos. La mayor a de las pel culas nominadas han pasado en su etapa de desarrollo o producci n por Cartoon Movie, confirmando la importancia del evento en el fomento de la animaci n europea.
Presencia espa ola en el Cartoon Movie
Por cuarto a o consecutivo la ciudad francesa de Burdeos ser el punto de encuentro de la industria de la animaci n con la celebraci n de Cartoon Movie, el foro europeo de coproducci n de cine de animaci n.
Del 3 al 5 de marzo cerca de 900 profesionales del sector tendr n oportunidad de conocer 66 nuevos proyectos de pel culas en distintas etapas de desarrollo: desde proyectos en concepto hasta pel culas en etapa de postproducci n que preparan su estreno para los pr ximos meses. Liderado por Francia, las pel culas seleccionadas representan 93 horas de animaci n y una inversi n global de 458 millones de euros, siendo 6,9 millones de euros el coste promedio de cada filme.
Con nueve proyectos, la animaci n espa ola ser la segunda con mayor representaci n en el evento, duplicando su presencia con respecto a la ltima edici n del evento. They Shot The Piano Player And Tadeo Jones 3, la maldici n de la momia son dos de los t tulos espa oles que ser n presentados en Burdeos. La primera es una nueva colaboraci n entre el director Fernando Trueba y el artista Javier Mariscal, tras trabajar juntos en la nominada a los Oscar Chico & Rita. La segunda es, a su vez, la tercera entrega de la saga Tadeo Jones, dirigida por Enrique Gato con producci n de Lightbox Animation Studios.
Cuatro de los proyectos espa oles provienen de estudios madrile os. Adem s de los mencionados, se presentar n otros dos proyectos de esta comunidad aut noma: Cazatalentos, largo inspirado en el cortometraje hom nimo ganador del premio Goya en 2019 y producido por 12 Ping inos Animation Studio, y Sierra Dragon filme dirigido por Pepe Sanchez Alonso con producci n de La fiesta PC.
La animaci n de Valencia tambi n ocupa un lugar destacado en la delegaci n espa ola con tres proyectos. Chica y Lobo, adaptaci n novela gr fica de Roc Espinet dirigida por el propio autor con producci n de Hampa Studio; D20, una comedia familiar en animaci n 3D dirigida por Jaime Maestro (La Tribu Animation); y Rock Bottom, filme para p blico adulto dirigido por Mar a Tr nor (On Air Comunicaci i Producci ). Estos proyectos confirman el crecimiento que est teniendo el sector de la animaci n en Valencia, ciudad que desde 2019 es sede de Cartoon Springboard, el evento de pitching para j venes talentos de escuelas europeas de animaci n y que celebrar su pr xima edici n del 27 al 29 de octubre.
La presencia espa ola se completa con Shkid, el nuevo proyecto del director Fernando Cortizo (O Ap stolo) producido por la gallega Amanita Studio- y Olivia y el terremoto invisible, adaptaci n del libro La pel cula de la vida de Maite Carranza producida por la catalana Citoplasmas Stop Motion.
Espa a tambi n es sede de Cartoon Business, seminario profesional para productores de animaci n que se celebrar en Las Palmas de Gran Canarias del 24 al 26 de marzo pr ximo.
