Viz Ticker .6: An easy ticker content workflow

Viz Ticker 2.6 includes several new features that enhances the ability to add content based on a linked feed source while still being able to view and make changes to the data if necessary

The latest version of Viz Ticker, version 2.6, is released today with several new enhancements for an improved user experience and productivity. Viz Ticker is Vizrt's advanced ticker system that makes it possible to build creative and compelling graphic tickers with total flexibility.

Field Linking preview/edit support

Viz Ticker 2.6 includes improvements and additions to the Field Linking feature. Now the user can always preview the linked data in Viz Ticker Client before making a selection. Also is added a user interface that allows changes to a selected element, enabling fast edits to ticker content before it goes on-air. The ticker system designer can optionally restrict the user from being able to make edits by setting the limit scope in Ticker Wizard.

Trigger Viz Ticker actions through Media Sequencer RESTMany broadcasters use 3rd party systems for listing carousel data and triggering carousels in Viz Ticker. Viz Ticker 2.6 has added support for triggering Viz Ticker actions using the Media Sequencer REST API. Examples of such Ticker actions is the possibility of turning carousels on and off as well as other ticker controls.

New Feed Browser and Graphics Hub Browser user interfaceViz Ticker Client allows the user to browse feed items for inserting content in carousels. This is used, for example, if you want to change near real-time data such as financial or weather feeds being displayed in the ticker. Version 2.6 includes an new user interface for this capability that makes the browsing of feed items and browsing of content in the Graphics Hub much easier, aiding productivity.

Other new features include:

Shared memory workflow support.

Adding Ticker Feed source HTTP basic authentication support.

Viz Ticker is now UAC compliant.
