FIRST VAR CALL

Between preseason training camps and the release of the official Fantasy Football list, the first unmissable event of the season has finally arrived: the trailer for Fantasy Football Ruined Our Lives is now available. This 90-minute comedy film (including the additional time), directed by Alessio Maria Federici and produced by QMI, will be released exclusively on Netflix starting August 27.

For all Fantasy Football trainers, this movie stars Giacomo Ferrara, Silvia D'Amico, Francesco Russo, Enrico Borello, Antonio Bann and Caterina Guzzanti, featuring Diletta Leotta, Pierluigi Pardo, Giuseppe Pastore, Daniele Orsato, Riccardo Gentile, Valeria Angione and Leonardo Pavoletti.

How far are you willing to go to win at Fantasy Football? This is the unusual question faced by a sharp-witted and sarcastic judge (Caterina Guzzanti) as she interrogates Simone (Giacomo Ferrara), a carefree thirty-something, more of a free-spirited screenwriter than a professional one, and an unlikely suspect in the mysterious disappearance of Gianni (Enrico Borello).

Gianni isn't just his best friend; he's also the reigning champion of the Fantasy Football League Mai una gioia , a group that has brought together a bunch of long-time, and rather absurd, friends for years.

But on the day of his wedding - and the final, decisive day of the league - Gianni never showed up at the altar. Even stranger, he didn't submit his lineup.

The surreal investigation draws in the entire crazy crew, including Andrea (Silvia D'Amico), the most recent addition to the group, who might be hiding more than one secret.

From the group chat, chaos ensues: insults, accusations, incriminating screenshots and a suspicious number of death threats.

Is it possible someone really did harm Gianni?

Because, sometimes, Fantasy Football isn't just a game. It's a matter of life, bonus points and revenge.

Among the cast of the movie, written by Giulio Carrieri and Michele Bertini Malgarini, with the collaboration of Fantacalcio (a Quadronica brand), also Francesco Giordano, Giacomo Bottoni and Francesca Agostini.
