Drama joins new digital service UKTV Play

Tuesday 31 March 2015 The Forsyte Saga, Death Comes to Pemberley, The Road to Coronation Street, The Bill, Agatha Christie and Catherine Cookson available on demand Multi-award winning media company UKTV, has announced the launch of its free-to-air channel Drama on its new video on demand service UKTV Play.

The specially curated Drama service, which launches on UKTV Play this week, provides viewers with access to a mixture of popular catch up and classic programming. Drama classics such as Agatha Christie, The Forsyte Saga and Death Comes to Pemberley, along with genre favourite such as The Bill and Birds of a Feather, will be available for viewers to enjoy at the click of a button.

Drama joins UKTVs other popular free-to-air channels Dave, Yesterday and Really on UKTV Play which is available on iOS, Android, PC and YouView. Content on the service is compiled in familiar and intuitive collections such as by topic and events, as well as featuring dynamic celebrity picks and advance sneak previews of new programmes.

UKTVs new digital brand launched in August 2014 and has enjoyed continued growth, with February marking UKTV Plays most successful month on PC VOD, up 41% on Januarys figures.

At launch, a raft of Dramas most popular programming will be available on UKTV Play, including Lovejoy, Rumpole of the Bailey, In Deep, Touching Evil, Pie in the Sky, The Mayor of Casterbridge, The Road to Coronation Street, Jack the Ripper and Catherine Cookson.
