This July, RT is delighted to support Galway International Arts Festival, Earagail Arts Festival in Donegal, Belfast TradFest and 23 other arts and cultural events across the country.
The summer festival season is in full swing this month with several festivals taking place that are sure to delight the senses. From spectacle to street arts, circus, visual arts, dance and theatre, music, spoken word, masterclasses and workshops, there is something for everyone.
Galway International Arts Festival will showcase a creative collision of artists, musicians, actors, writers and performers, Earagail Arts Festival in Donegal will host 15 days of music, theatre, visual arts, film, literature, circus and carnival, while Belfast TradFest will present traditional music concerts, fiery pub sessions and Ireland's fastest growing summer school of traditional music.
Don't miss concerts, literary events, theatre, dance performances, as well as family events at Clonmel Junction Arts Festival in Tipperary. In addition, it will host its inaugural Vincent Hanley Summer School. Boyne Music Festival in Drogheda, also returns this summer, with an exciting programme of chamber music, poetry, jazz, tours and workshops.
In Dublin, The Garden Party will continue at the S amus Ennis Arts Centre with another jam-packed programme of events. The Liberties Festival will present a series of family-friendly, sporting and community events, and an exciting multi-cultural and arts programme. Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas also continues with its summer series of events in Dublin.
Cairde Sligo Arts Festival will take place as will Kinsale Arts Weekend in Cork, a multi-disciplinary festival hosted in quirky venues across the town. Also in Cork, children's arts festival, SummerSING! will bring art, culture, and music into the lives of children from all walks of life.
Galway Film Fleadh, also not to be missed this month, will showcase new Irish cinema and world cinema, with filmmakers from across the world coming to Galway for the week-long international film festival. In theatre, The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh will take to the stage at The Gate Theatre, while The Gate Theatre in association with 3Olympia will also present Brian Friel's Dancing at Lughnasa, at 3Olympia Theatre.
Finally, Music for Wexford Summer/Autumn Series will continue its annual series of recitals by both Irish and international musicians, summer creative writing courses will continue in the Irish Writers Centre, Dublin and there are also several exhibitions to enjoy.
