Latoya Lee Brings Industry Expertise and Connections to Berklee Career Center Berklee's new director of industry relations has worked on platinum-selling and Grammy-winning projects and will help students build industry-ready skills.

Latoya Lee, a seasoned music executive with over 15 years in the business, has joined Berklee as the new director of industry relations. Working within the Career Center, Lee is focused on helping students nurture their talents and build valuable industry connections, fostering an environment that supports their creative and professional growth.

Lee's music journey started early, inspired by Boyz II Men's chart-topping hit On Bended Knee and her stepfather's recording studio, where she got a firsthand look at the industry from the age of 10. This early exposure sparked a passion she carried forward, eventually earning a degree in journalism from Georgia State University. She started her career at Konvict Muzik/BuVision ENT, where her knack for discovering new talent took her from assistant to A&R executive.

Over six years at Warner Music Group, Lee worked on projects like Trey Songz's Trigga and Trigga Reloaded albums, the hit song GDFR by Flo Rida and Sage the Gemini, and blockbuster film soundtracks for Furious 7, The Fate of the Furious, and Suicide Squad. She collaborated with Charlie Puth BM '13 on the RIAA diamond-certified hit See You Again and signed Xenia Manasseh BM '18 to a publishing deal. Lee's eye for talent has shaped major projects and launched artists like Sabrina Claudio and Dancehall star Kranium.

In her role as vice president of creative at Atlas Music Publishing, she supported songwriters and producers behind hits for artists like G-Eazy, Ty Dolla $ign, and Chris Brown. She also earned a Grammy certificate for her work managing a producer on Nass King's Disease, which won Best Rap Album.

Latoya's deep industry knowledge and passion for developing artists make her an invaluable addition to Berklee, says Stefanie Henning, associate vice president of career strategy and services. Her commitment to nurturing talent and building connections aligns perfectly with our mission to support students' creative and professional journeys, preparing them to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.

As she steps into this role, Lee is eager to leverage her diverse background and industry expertise to guide Berklee students toward success in the fast-changing music world. Grounded in her Jamaican heritage and Atlanta upbringing, she brings a wide-reaching perspective and passion that resonates through her work. When she's not immersed in music, she enjoys unwinding with video games.
