The National Film and Video Foundation Attends Bojanala Film Week
The Annual Bojanala Film Week kicks off tomorrow, 25th March, and runs till the 28th of March. The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture, is pleased to announce that it will once again take part in the Film Week.
An initiative of the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, the film week is aimed at promoting and establishing film activity to the out of school youth within the Bojanala District. For the duration of the film week, the NFVF will host workshops on various aspects of filmmaking, including; Directing, Producing and Scriptwriting.
The function of the workshops will serve to enlighten aspiring filmmakers of the intense work and development needed to be a film-maker. For the scriptwriting workshop Loyiso Maqoma who was a head writer for South Africa's popular soapies, Isidingo and Scandal, will facilitate in better understanding scriptwriting. The Producing workshop will be conducted by Blitz Patrolie's Isaac Mogajane, while the Directing workshop will be led by the talented award-winning Akin Omotoso.
Apart from the workshops there will also be screenings of local films; Hear Me Move, Hard To Get, iNumber Number and Between Friends.
The workshops will start from 09h00 every day from the 26th to the 28th of March at Rustenburg Recreation Centre in Protea Park. Please see below for the programme details.
