Nuffield North Staffs Bids Farewell to Long Serving Radiology Manager

Patricia Grange has been with Nuffield North Staffs for 26 years, and for the last 7 years she has been Radiology Manager at the hospital. Pat, as she's known to friends and colleagues, will be retiring to North Wales with her husband where they will pursue their shared passion of gardening.

Pat is leaving the department in the capable hands of her successor Andrea Pagett, and with a suite of new Fujifilm equipment which is revolutionising how the department functions. Having recently installed an Amulet Innovality mammography system in the breast unit and an FRD Visionary Suite DR room solution in the radiology department Pat is leaving the team with a great future. The workflow and throughput with the new Fujifilm equipment is so much faster and this is making the department much more efficient than it was before said Pat As you would expect from such cutting edge technology the image quality has vastly improved and the Virtual Grid technology is amazing; the team love the fact they don't have to carry a physical grid around and we are delighted with the massive dose reductions we are achieving.

Andrea continues The D-Evo II detectors are so well designed. The fact they're very light and have the curved edges means they're great for manual handling. We've found the memory mode that displays the number of images taken on the detector really useful too. Throughout the planning and installation process the Fujifilm staff were very helpful and friendly. We had some unforeseen issues with the building structure and layout, but the Fujifilm team worked with us to find solutions and achieve what we needed.

Before she left John Casson called in to wish Pat well with her retirement and to present her with a bunch of flowers from the Fujifilm team.
