Red Arrow International's The Taste goes to SAT.1 in Germany
Munich, April 8th, 2013. Its all about the taste: Commercial broadcaster SAT.1 secured the German rights for a local remake of cooking competition The Taste. Premiering prime time in Fall 2013, RedSeven Entertainment produces the German version.
Originally commissioned by ABC, The Taste scored the channels highest debut in two years. The US version features famed foodies Nigella Lawson, Anthony Bourdain, Brian Malarkey and Ludo Lefebvre, a distinguished panel of judges searching for Americas most skilled cook.
Nicolas Paalzow, Managing Director SAT.1 says The Taste is the hottest new food entertainment show at the moment. And it is only the beginning: This amazing cooking competition will kick off a whole new line-up of spectacular food shows on SAT.1.

Created by Kinetic Content, Red Arrows US production company, The Taste is executive-produced by Chris Coelen, Matilda Zoltowski, Emma Conway, Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson. Sales of The Taste include CTV for Canada, Australias Nine Network and M6 in France.

For the first time ever, Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson are teaming up with Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey to get down to what truly matters: the way the food tastes! Our four culinary superstars are going back to basics: the taste! Both home cooks and restaurateurs are given the opportunity of a lifetime, as they sharpen their skills and train with the best culinary experts in the business. Our superstar mentors will each coach a team of cooks, who they hand pick based on their dishes alone. In each episode there are two challenges; a team challenge and an individual challenge. At the end of each show the mentors must decide together who to eliminate.
